SOON NEW YEAR 2011!

Yes, soon new year 2011. Been to the doctor for a new prescription for my medicine. Will practice guitar today after my work. New riffs and licks, and maybe some blues too. My finger tips and muscles are going in the right direction. So have to do my practice every day. Today I might also test my Yamaha keyboard. It should be fun. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

WEDNESDAY MORNING IN WINTER CLOTHES!

Yes, wednesday morning in winter clothes! Soon it's time for the new years celebrations. I will get some more time for my guitar practice. Good to be able to try out new riffs and licks. What about the Yamaha keyboard? I want to test it properly this weekend. Makes me feel excited. I have not played on it for years. Can I still play on a keyboard? I hope so because it could be very useful in my music project with A! So I will do my best and try to play on it. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

ANOTHER WINTER MORNING!

Yes, another winter morning. We play ten little boys at work. Soon we will all disappear..... My guitar practice is making great progress right now. Having fun playing and finding some new combinations to test on my Les Paul. This weekend I may try to play some on my Yamaha keyboard too. Keyboard is quite different to play compared with the guitar. It's another way to use my fingers. Also many years since I tried it last time. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

LAST WEEK OF THE YEAR!

Yes, it's the last week of this year. Had a very good Xmas weekend. Lot's of food and presents. Lot's of relaxing and a lot of guitar practice. I'm getting better and better. That's a lot easier to practice guitar, when you feel it's going forwards. New riffs and licks makes it so much more fun. It's a very nice feeling. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

WEDNESDAY WINTER MORNING AND TRAINS!

Yes, wednesday winter morning and about the trains. Yesterday was total chaos at the central station. Difficult to get to the commuter trains. Too much people stuck there, and nearly no space to go through the crowds. So I was home late again. Met my wife on the way. She was waiting fifty minutes for my train to get home. My train was overcrowded because it was a short train. And when we and other trains filled up the next train it was even more overcrowded. But we got home at last, and there was a bus waiting as well! That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

COMMUTER TRAINS IN THE WINTER!

Yes, commuter trains in the winter. Yesterday I was home seven o'clock. It took me one hour longer to go home. And then there were no bus so I had to walk home. So I've been sleeping one hour less this last night. That's how it is! I still have my things to do at home. Like eating, practice guitar and work on my computer. Also have to talk to my family and relax before I go to sleep. So that's why I get one hour less sleep. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

SNOWY MONDAY MORNING!

Yes, it's a very snowy winters morning this monday. Difficult to walk to the commuter train in all this snow. I walk normaly in ten minutes, and now maybe twelve to fourteen minutes. But the train works. That's good. Long weekend with lot's of christmas preparations. Shop food and presents. Working four days this week.... Last chance for the stores to fill up with all christmas food. That'll be a hard week. Then comes the holidays to rest before it's new years holiday. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

SNOWY FRIDAY AND WEEKEND IS HERE!

Yeah, it's a snowy friday and the weekend is near! We have a new visitor at home for two weeks. She is Coco, a siberian husky. A nice and lovely dog. Looks like a wolf though! But very kind, smart and listens to all commands. Got to practice some more guitar this weekend. It's those riffs and licks, plus many chords and blues. I also need to test different sounds on my Behringer amplifier. I have one hundred different sounds, that can be altered to sound specific at the time. Nice and gives a variety of options when I'm playing on my Les Paul. That's all for today's blog. Love Peter

FRIDAY EVENING GOING HOME!

On the commuter train going home on friday night. Sitting nearly next to me sits a real shit man. With no respect for his human fellow passengers. I'm like one word from hitting him! He can go to hell! He will go there anyway when he dies. So teach your children how to show respect for others. Or they might get a big knockout in their face. That's all for this blog. Love Peter

WAITING FOR THE SNOW TO COME!

Yes, waiting for the snow to come today! I practise some more on my guitar yesterday. Just love my Les Paul! A perfectly wonderful guitar to play on. My finger tips are developing in the right direction. Also the muscles are going there. Now speed is the number one issue here. As I said earlier, we are waiting for today's snow fall. More snow on the ground for us. I think this year we will have a white Xmas. Back to my guitar practise. Riffs and licks are now my main area in my playing. Learning more each day. That's all for today's blog. Luv Peter

ANOTHER WINTER DAY FILLED WITH SNOW!

All white outside. Another winter day filled with snow. Finger tip practice yesterday with my guitar. Hard work with my fingers, but very fun to do. Rock fillings and solos up amd down the guitar fret on my Les Paul. Rewarding when it sounds good. Writing this blog on my way to work on the commuter train. Now guitar practice is a tough business. Muscles and finger tips has to be in the best shape. The solo sounded good, nice riff. I would give myself a golden star for being so hard in my training. Not easy, but very rewarding. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

WINTER AND SNOW IS FALLING!

Yes winter morning and snow is falling on us here in Stockholm! Beautiful with white snow. This weekend I've been practicing on my Les Paul. Lovely guitar with a very good sound. A rock guitar sound. Solo playing has been the lead star of this weekends practice. Blues and solo playing. My amplifier is a Behringer with nice sounds. I can store 100 different sounds in it. Lovely to test all these sounds. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

BEAUTIFUL FRIDAY WINTER MORNING!

Yes it's a very beautiful friday winter morning. The snow is falling. Friday's always have expectations with it. My expectations are that I will have lot's of time to practice on my guitar, and maybe I will rehearse with my new music project. That's what I expect from this weekend. Another expectation is that Telia will release that chinese TV channel finally! We want to watch chinese TV at home on our 42 inch set! I will continue my blues scales, intros, turnaround and ends practice on my guitar. It's a very interesting way to practice. Fast and slow playing, and some rock licks will also be on the agenda. Rock licks and riffs are a very important cornerstone in my practice. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

FREEZING COLD WINTER MORNING!

Yeah, a freezing cold winter morning. A little bit too cold for my taste, but a nice winter touch. Yesterday I did a lot of guitar practicing for my music project. Blues scales, intros and endings, plus turnarounds. Not easy as most material go in the key of E. I would like it to be higher. My finger tips are now hardened and playing becomes much easier. Also the muscels are improving much. This gives me strength and possibility to play longer time. Next on the agenda is to practise fastness. To play the same things fast and slow, and to switch between them. So I have things to practise. That's it for todays blog. Love Peter

TIRED FROM WORK AND SL!

Tired from work and SL! SL that's Stockholms local traffic company. Works no good. Late nights arriving home. Tired at night and no feeling and strength for playing guitar. Damned them! Today I will take no more shit! Today I'm the king! Will practice on my guitar when I get home today. Doesn't matter how tired I will be tomorrow. Guitar scales is on my list. Will start with the blues scale. The pentatonic one. Run it up and down. And fool around with it. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

GUITAR AND MUSIC PROJECT!

Now my finger tips is getting harder every day. Practicing for fourteen days now. Yesterday it was time for the pentatonic blues scale. Up and down, up and down, up and down..... This is kind of monotonous, but the only way to make the fingers work. You know the finger tips and the muscles. Go slow and go fast. Up and down! Then the next step is to fool around with the scale. Play different combinations and build riffs. This is the really fun part. Find out where's your limit. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

GUITAR PRATICING WEEKEND!

Been practicing guitar scales this weekend. Finger tips is getting ok! Hardening them to VH1. Hard but awarding playing. Feel a lot better at home with my guitar now. Fingers knows what to do..... Hope Liping is doing well at her work today. She should talk to her boss I think. That's the best thing to do. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

FRIDAY IS THE BEST DAY OF THE WEEK!

Yes, friday is the best day of the week. The end of the working week and the beginning of your free time! And best of all you have the whole weekend in front of you. Lots of stuff to do. Play guitar, networking, watch movies..... No rehearsals with A this weekend. We do that the next one instead. I will practice on the guitar and some music theory as well. Also have to put up candle lights this weekend. I wonder when we will get that new chinese channel on the television? It would have been nice if it comes today! That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

COMMUTER TRAIN TROUBLES ON FRIDAY!

Going homr from work earlier this friday. Though the commuter train has trouble going south. Right now near the old city of Stockhoim. Yes now we are finally moving again. They have had problems all afternoon. Though I hope to get home earlier today. Going with my ordinary train would also have the same trouble. So it makes no difference in that sense. That's all for this blog. Love Peter

MUSICPROJECT GOES FORWARD!

Thursday morning and my music project goes forward. My finger tips must be hardend. So I fool around with my guitar. All to get ready in my fingers and muscels. Patience is the word. Soon, soon, soon..... After all this hardening of my finger tips comes all the fun. Playing guitar, training chords and scales, learning new riffs. Next week I'm entering this mode. But this weekend I will meet with A and the rest of the band. Nervous? Oh yeah, but I'll do my best. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

MUSICPROJECT LATEST NEWS!

Musicproject is going on! I practice my fingers and fingertips. Pain, pain, pain..... Though it goes forwards. Better for every day. Soon my fingers will be ready to play normal again. Practice, practice, practice..... There's no short cut! Play all the time at home. Relax on my way to work and on work. Saturday will be my test with the new band. Nervous? Oh yeah! But I'll give all and try my best on the guitar. Wish me luck! That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

FINALLY FRIDAY!

Yes finally friday, and all the weekend in front of us! Lot's of stuff to do and practise guitar of course too. Get birthday presents ready for Alexandra, get cameras ready for saturday, find out what clothes to wear..... Looking forward to this moment. And also Xie is coming to Stockholm for her first visit. Looks like the weekend is pretty full booked, as on sunday there is all normal things to do, like shower, water flowers and prepare clothes for the working week. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

SNOW IS FALLING AGAIN!

White snow is falling today again. All is white, white, white..... That's a fact in Stockholm today. Thursday morning and soon weekend again. I practice guitar every day now. Feels good and getting some new inspiration too! Looking into some nice riffs. Friday comes Xie on her first visit to Sweden and our small town Stockholm! Wonder how that will feel? From a big city to a small one. Where are the houses? Back to the guitar stuff. Playing is hard work, but very rewarding in the end. My secret music project with A is just around the corner. It fills my head all the time. Some ideas are popping up. Maybe we can use them too? That's it for todays blog. Love Peter

ALEXANDRAS BIRTHDAY!

Today is my daughter Alexandras birthday, so I wish a nice happy birthday! On friday comes Xie from Beijing to visit us for three months. We all four will go to Alexandras birthday party on saturday. For Xie it will be a tough start of her first visit to Sweden. Arriving on friday evening, and going to Alexandras birthday party the next day. I should have been practising with my new music project on sunday as well, but that's too much for one weekend.I got a raincheck from A! I will attend the next practice session. Once again happy birthday Alexandra. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

MUSIC PROJECT ON THE ROAD!

Thuesday morning, feeling good and hopefull! The secret music project is in progression and going forwards. Met A yesterday to drink some tea in a cafe, and talking about the project. Own material will be the base, and maybe a couple of covers too. I was very nervous yesterday, but quite relaxed afterwards! Feeling very nice and ready to play in a band again! Practise guitar every day now. It's a must! Practising is the base of it all. Guitar awareness and finger tips, as well as muscels has to be trained every day. We will try to do some demos. Fun! And go on from there. Playing feels fun again! That's it for todays blog. Love Peter

FRIDAY ON MY MIND!

Yeah, I've got friday on my mind! Last working day of the week, and free time knocks on my door. Today I'm gonna make a stop in Handen on my way home from work. Guess what? Yes, I will cut my hair. Have an important meeting on monday evening! A music one! Well, on this weekend I will play a lot of guitar. Practise, practise, practise..... Scales and chords. Plus a lot of finger practising. Gotta be in good shape on monday. Spirit is high and mood also! I can do it! I know I can! I'm a winner! So it's gonna be great. That's it for todays blog. Love Peter

WINTER ON MY MIND!

Oh yeah! Winter is now on my mind. Not to cold, not to warm. Just enough to feel nice. A lot of things in my mind right now. My daughter has birthday next week. Yan Fan's girlfriend is also coming here next week. Monday I go on a kind of informal interview for new music project! It's secret! Now on friday I will go and cut my hair. And color it on sunday. During the weekend I will do a lot of guitar practice. Guess why? The secret project! Many things on my mind right now, you know. Can I fix this? I know I can do it. I'm strong, strong, strong..... Really I should have been answering like three emails from distant relatives out there in the world. A lot on my mind right now! That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

WINTER VARNING TODAY IN STOCKHOLM!

Yes we have a winter varning today in Stockholm! They say it will come snowfall during the day. Well we will know when it comes. Maybe it will come, maybe it will not. If it comes though it will be traffic chaos, and troubles going on the commuter train. I hope not! Right now it's blowing cold icy winds and raining. But I'm warm sitting on the commuter train going north towards my work. That feels alright. No snow inside the train. I think it will be a short blog today, so that's it for today. Love Peter

CHAOS ON THE COMMUTER TRAIN LAST NIGHT!

Really chaos! Last night going home from my work, there were some kind of accident near Handen. Firstly before that a whole train set of people got on our train at Farsta Strand I believe! So when we came to Skogas, some three thousand people had to get off the train and go on in buses. Now that's what I call chaos! Just fiften minutes later came another train with some fifteen hundred people more! Talk about real chaos! My journey home took much longer than a flight to London. It took twice that time, so this morning I'm really tired. You know late night and early morning is no good combination. But now I'm on my way north going on the commuter train to my work in Sundbyberg. That's all for todays blog. Love Peter

MINAN RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX IN BEIJING!

Well todays blog is all about Minan Residential Complex at Dongzhimen Nei Dajie in Beijing. My wife and I live there when ever we are in Beijing. It's a large residential area in the central city, or if you like that in the old city. We live on the fifth floor on Dong Yang Wei Jie number one. It's near Dongzhimen Highschool and the Russian Embassy. It's also very near to Dongzhimen Nei Dajie, or as it's also called Gou Jie. Also close to Beijings largest traffic hub Dongzhimen. Now this is a very nice neighborhood, with small local restaurants and shops. At it's western border you have the Naga appartments and the Nan Guan Park. People are very friendly here and the mix of people is good. There are both young and old, and foreigners. That's good for me! At nights there is singing and dancing in the park. People get together to relax and have some entertainment. Very nice! Now that's all for todays blog. Love Peter

TRAFFIC ON GUIJIE IN BEIJING!

Hello again my friends. Todays blog is about Guijie or Dongzhimen Nei Dajie. More rightly about the traffic works here on this very busy restaurant street. It's one and a half kilometer long with more than one hundred restaurants. To pass by on a bicycle is a bit tricky as cars are and being parked all the way along all the time. You have to watch out when passing by. The bicycle file is mostly filled with parked cars, so you have to go by in one of the cars files. Remember the traffic is very heavy on this part of the street. Though I see a woman with a child in front of me doing the same kind of moves and changes between the files all the time. It's a little bit like going downhills on skis in the winter! All the time the situation changes. Free street in front of you turns into several cars trying to park sideways and taxis stoping to let out their passengers. All that happens within seconds and right in front of you. So no easy way to solve the new traffic situations creat...

YONGHEGONG LAMASERY IN BEIJING!

Hello friends! Todays blog is about the nearest main sightseeing from our Beijing appartment. The Yonghegong Lamasery is within walking distace for us. though this time we used our bicycles through the nice Hutongs. No other way to get around is better. Lot's of shops surrounds the temple. There you can buy souvenirs and smoke sticks. The weather is as always this time of the year hot. We had 31 degrees this day on my last visit. Nice for taking some good pictures to bring home. The Yonghegong Lamasery was originally a prince palace, but later changed into a lama tempel. It's the largest lama tempel i northern China. Many tourists go there for a visit, but particularily many young chinese worshipers go there to pay tribute to their believes. And it's nearly in our backyard! They bring their smoke sticks, and kneal to pray. I also pray there every year I go to Beijing. Now that's it for todays blog. Love Peter

FINALLY I'M ON FACEBOOK!

Now it's happened! Yes, finally I'm on Facebook! Really never thought it would happen. Last weekend I joined all the others on this social network. I'm new on this, so have patience with me. I will eventually learn what to do and what to say. I will surely also learn what to share with all my old and new networking friends. Started out with sharing some small things from my own life, and now also things that I find and like from the internet. That's networking! Many new friends have joined my Facebook site. I'm very happy that they soon are more than 150. Now I can share my thoughts and life with them. They have already appreciated my comments with a like. I feel a lot more warm in my heart over this. It will be an exciting weekend networking on Facebook. This weekend I will also start with working on my new chinese learning apps in the android world. And maybe play some guitar as well. I will also help my wife change the tires of her bicycle. That's it for toda...

BELL AND DRUM TOWER IN BEIJING!

One of the oldest parts of Beijing is the area around the Bell and Drum towers. Many old hutongs with their charming looks. There's a lot of tourists circling around in the area. This year I heard other westerners telling a hutong tour bicycle driver that they had their own bicycles with them. That's what I do too in fact. I go around Beijing on my own bicycle. Much better way to get around town, and you can decide for yourself when to go home or where to go. Totally freedom and what a way to see all that's happening around you. I strongly recommend it. Many tourist doesn't know how to get around the best way. Forget taxi, bus or subway. The traffic is very slow and heavy in central Beijing. What takes fifty minutes with a car can take twenty with a bicycle. Plus you can stop where ever you like, and go in on the lovely alley streets. Here you can see the real beijingers dayly life. It's a must when you visit this city. Hope you will find my tips usefull. I have bee...

ALEXANDRA IS ALWAYS IN MY HEART!

Oh yeah! Alexandra is always in my heart all the time! I love Alexandra! My daughter has a wonderful and fantastic blog at http://www.alexandratyckeromdig.blogg.se/ for you to check out! She is a very good blogger and a wonderful daughter. To follow her blogg gives me the answer to all my questions every day. She really delivers all that you want to now about her life and what happens in her world! Alexandra keeps you updated with her life every day. This makes her blog very entertaining. Now she looks like a movie star, but that´s only because she´s my daughter! Like father, like daughter! The proud words of a true father! Now I have to admit that I can see a lot of her mother in her apperance and looks, but in her ways of behaving and thinking I see a lot of me! I always find a way to express myself on the internet and elsewhere. Her mother and I have given her a very good education about how to live and what to do or not to do in life. She have found her love in Michael from London...

FINALLY SATURDAY THREE WEEKS AFTER BEIJING!

Finally saturday three weeks after coming home from Beijing in China! I´m joking! In fact I didn´t want to go back to Sweden. Here it´s right now winter with snow and cold weather. Who wants that? I´m not outside as I´m inside today! Inside physically and inside in my head as I work hard with my new blog. David Bowie´s "China Girl" is played on VH1 channel on my television right now. I just love that song! Wonderfully written by Iggy Pop(he has swedish heritage by the way) and David Bowie. It´s recorded by both Iggy Pop and David Bowie, but we all only remember David´s version. It´s more commercial! And that´s why he recorded it, just to help his friend Iggy Pop in economical troubles. That´s what friends are there fore in need! That´s love! Anyway it´s one of my absolutely most favorite sons ever recorded. It´s on my world top list! Love Peter

THE FIRST SNOW IS HERE!

Yes, you don't need new glasses! The first snow has come down in Stockholm. We are surprised as usual. It's not cold, but I've thrown this winters first snowball this morning on my way to the train. I threw it at a waste basket near the station. It's fun! I remember my childhood, and feel like a child again. Today, three weeks ago, I was in Beijing and it was twentysix degrees plus. Very hot and nice. Wearing t-shirt because of the heat. We left around ten o'clock in the morning. Going by car to the international airport in Beijing. It felt very hard to leave this wonderful city. Zai tian, echoed in my head all the time. We will come back next year. And now this white on the ground. Winter is here, if only for a short moment this time. That's it for todays blog. Love Peter

WHITE KNIGHTS IN MY HEART!

Well White Knights is a restaurant near the russian embassy in Beijing. I mostly go there at nights, during my stays in Beijing, to kind of rounding up the events of the day with a couple of beers. Usually one Heineken and one Tsingtao. While drinking them up I go through the photos taken today. I also think through what I have seen, and what I want to do the next day. This year we also went there to eat one night with eight persons. The food is really good, although some chinese people say it is not. Typically chinese way to express them selves. But that is only their way to say it is good, but too expensive for them! In reality the food is very good, and the service from the owners and their staff is of super quality! Now the price I would say is medium, if you use these three classes of restaurant prices: cheap, medium and expensive in Beijing. Although as I said you get a very good service, and always feels very welcome. White Knights is a place where many westerners go, but also m...

COMMUTER TRAINS IN STOCKHOLM!

Now I go every day to Vreten in Solna with the commuter train. It's a two hours ride there and another two hours back in the afternoon. A lot of people go every day on the same train. Seats are small and it's not so much space to sit. Sometimes people have to stand up all the way, because the train is delayed for some reason. My personal record is two hours and fifty minutes to my work, but four hours and fifteen minutes going home. That is a lot of time taken from my free time. If it all works I can go all the way and back in three hours and ten minutes! That means one hour and forty minutes to my work and one hour and thirty minutes back home. I still think it's a lot of time to spend on a train just to work for eight hours. During the time of my journey I listen to my mp3 music collection. I have a very good number of songs to play. I also have programs in my mobile phone to study and learn chinese. That's a challenge, and I'm doing good progress in my chinese s...

WHERE IS THE PANDA?

Yes, where is the panda living today? Well it´s living in my living room right now! Well directly imported from Beijing in China! Just view my photos in this blog! They are a permanent proof of my devotion for the panda´s future life. Six Panda Ambassadors, also called Pambassadors, have been chosen in a worldwide competition and the winners will be working for one year at the famous Woolong Giant Panda Protection And Research Center in Chengdu in China. The "Pambassadors" are expected to work closely with Woolong Keepers, feeding baby pandas, learning about panda conservation and - I'm assuming - hugging them (glee)! Or as the competition says, "You will perform as photographer, videographer, journalist, scientist, and researcher in the course of one of the best months of your life!" Successful candidates had to be aged 18 to 40 and be in good physical and psychological condition, as well as possess English writing abilities. Also, they couldn't be "a...

RAFFLES CITY SHOPPING CENTER IN OUR BACKYARD!

That´s right! We actually have three shopping centers inour backyard within walking distance from our appartment in Dongzhimen in Beijing! And what isn´t within walking distance from our home in Minan Residential Complex? The subway, the food street, the long distance bus station, the 2nd ring road, the lama temple, the nan guan park, all the restaurants and bars(like more than over 500 ones!), the shops and so much more! It feels like living in paradise in Beijing, just two kilometers from the actual center of this city! In Raffles City I found a silver ring(just to much wonderful), so we went all over Beijing to find one much cheaper. No way! No ring looking like this one, and I mean cheap or expensive. You just can´t find it here in Beijing! We just went to Raffles City to have a look. There is very many shops and stores, bur mostly for the rich chinese people that live in this area! Hello I also live here! Am I rich? No, but in the eyes of the chinese people every westerner is ...

THE LOVELY AND TASTY FOOD IN BEIJING!

Oh Yes! The lovely and tasty food in Beijing! I´m a very lucky guy, as I live within walking distance to most of Beijing´s restaurants open twentyfour hours! I´m joking, but I have something like over 500 restaurants within walking distance, and very good ones too! It´s like I live in the middle of the pulse in the city! Actually Beijing have more than sixty thousands of restaurants. Every day more than 100 opens up for business. But I live in the very busy food street area. That´s why I´m lucky. You know there is a joke in Beijing, that says if you visited a very good restaurant yesterday and wants to invite your friends the next day to this restaurant, please call it on your phone to be sure that it is still there the next day. All this before you call your friends for a dinner appointment there! Or you´re in for a big surprise the next day! My goal this year was to eat and try as many different kinds of food as possible during my five and a half weeks in Beijing in China. Now d...

DANCING & SINGING IN THE PARK AT NIGHT!

This is Really Beijing at it´s best, and specially by night! You know everybody in Beijing use the outside as their living room. People sit or are in the small and large parks all over this wonderful city. They read, relax, play badminton(or kick feather, chess, mahjong, cards). I have seen them playing guitar, drums, erhu and other instruments.Or they just have a nice walk and talk to people they know, if theyt don´t want to improve their physics with all the training tools you can find in most parks. This is something, I believe, that we westerners have to learn about. If you look at Sweden we are just hopeless in this situation. It´s like we wake up when our short summer comes, and many people move their living room outside. The neighbors that are still inside think what are they doing and making so much noice. Strange way to behave! Come on! I think it´s nice to be a beijinger! So swedes come out of your hiding places and behave like normal people. After all we are a minority. Two...

OUR BICYCLES IN BEIJING!

The blog of the day is about our bicycles in Beijing. In 2009 we bought our bicycles at Carrefour in Andingmen in Beijing. We went there in a taxi. It's a large supermarket with something like 25 cash registrators. Liping's bicycle color is purple and mine is cool black. So we now finally went back to our home in Dongzhimen on our new bikes. It took about 20 minutes to get back home through all these main streets to our own appartment. This was my first time on a bicycle in Beijing. Many people say it.s dangerous to go on bicycle in Beijing. The traffic is heavy. They are right about that. But I say you learn their traffic culture very fast. There is a pattern in it. I love to bicycle in the more quieter hutongs. The main streets are also cool, but with much more traffic on them. Now in the narrow hutongs the traffic is slower, but sometimes also very busy. Here you somehow comes closer to the people living there. You see their daily life in a closeup view. Really fantastic ex...

TODAY IS THE DAY OF THE MINERS!

Yes, today is the day of the miners. All 33 of them and their 6 rescue workers. They are all on the surface now after two months under the ground. What a fantastic rescue operation followed by the whole world on television. All my thoughts today go to them and their families. This picture is some kind of a symbolic one. It´s showing the view from Liping´s balcony at early night. Showing the dark in the mine, but also the still bright sky when the miners come up to the surface. By the way this is all in todays blog for you. I am writing this blog from my mobile device, Xperia X10 mini pro on the commuter train. I am on the way to my work in Solna. A two hours ride that feels so much easier now, when we know the miners in Chile are safe. Tomorrow I will send another blog. God bless you. Love Peter

PETER´S BLOG WORLD.

Hello and welcome to my new web blog. This is my second blog. I already have a web blog at http://visitbeijing.blogspot.com , and it is more like a travel blog about what to see and do in Beijing in China when you travel there. It also tells you a little about what I have done there on my visits in Beijing and maybe you can find some good tips in it. My wife and I live in her lovely appartment near Dongzhimen in central Beijing when we go there on our vacations. Her name is Liping. She is born there and has lived there for 40 years of her life. So we know a lot about how evrything works in Beijing. We are just back here in Stockholm after 5 and a half weeks in China. Very hot weather and a lot of things to do. The shopping was wonderful and the food was very good. I just love to ride on my bicykle through the old hutongs and the traffic is nice there compared with the avenues in this lovely city. I am honored to have this opportunity to go there every year! This new one is meant to be...
